1. Definitions

• "Numaself", "we", "our", "us" refers to the Numaself platform.
• "User", "Client", "you", "your" refers to any person accessing or using the platform or services.
• "Platform" refers to the Numaself website, booking tools, communication channels, and related digital interfaces.
• "Psychological Wellness Professional" refers to independent therapists, counsellors, psychologists, or mental health professionals authorised to provide services through the platform.
• "Psychiatrist" refers to a medical doctor registered in India with a recognised qualification in psychiatry.

2. Nature of Services

Numaself is a mental wellness platform that enables users to access psychological and emotional wellness services provided by independent professionals.

Services may include:

• Online therapy or counselling sessions (individual or group)
• Psychiatric consultations (India-only, where available)
• Mental health assessments and screening tools
• Workshops, wellness programs, and educational resources
• Guided self-help content

Numaself acts solely as a technology-enabled platform. It does not itself provide medical treatment, diagnosis, or emergency services.

3. No Emergency or Crisis Support

Numaself does not offer support for medical or psychological emergencies.

If you are experiencing:

• Suicidal thoughts or self-harm ideation
• Risk of harm to yourself or others
• Severe mental health crises
• Any medical or psychiatric emergency

You must seek immediate in-person assistance from the nearest hospital or emergency services.

4. Eligibility & Consent

By using Numaself, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older and legally competent under Indian law; or
• If the user is below 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian provides informed consent and agrees to these Terms on the user's behalf.

Use of the platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

5. User Agreement & Modifications

These Terms apply from the moment you access the platform or book a service.

Numaself reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms. Users are responsible for reviewing them periodically.

6. Scope & Limitations of Therapy

You understand and agree that:

• Online therapy is not a substitute for emergency care
• No guarantees are made regarding outcomes, improvement, diagnosis, or cure
• Professionals may be located remotely and may not be in your city or state
• Continuity with the same professional is not guaranteed
• A professional may determine that online therapy is not appropriate and recommend alternative care

All decisions taken based on therapy are made at your own discretion and responsibility.

7. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

• Fees must be paid upfront unless explicitly stated otherwise
• Prices, packages, and payment terms may be revised from time to time
• Internet, device, and communication charges are the user's responsibility
• Late arrival may result in a shortened session without extension

7a. Discontinuation of Package

Clients may discontinue a package at any time. Refunds will be issued only for unused sessions, calculated on a pro-rata basis as per the package's per-session rate. Completed sessions, including those missed due to late cancellation or no-show, are non-refundable. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days.

7b. Cancellation of Sessions

Sessions may be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Timely cancellations will be refunded or credited back to the package, as applicable. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session or no-shows will be treated as completed sessions and are non-refundable.

7c. Rescheduling of Sessions

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session time and are subject to therapist availability. Requests made within 24 hours of the session will not be permitted, and the session will be marked as completed.

8. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Use the platform only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes
• Not misuse, scrape, reverse engineer, copy, or resell platform content
• Not upload unlawful, abusive, misleading, or malicious content
• Not impersonate others or violate third-party rights
• Behave respectfully with professionals and platform staff
• Not harass, threaten, abuse, or misuse services

Violation may result in suspension or termination of access without notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Numaself platform—including text, design, graphics, logos, and materials—is owned by or licensed to Numaself.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or exploited without prior written permission.

10. User Content

By submitting any content (messages, feedback, forms, uploads), you confirm that:

• You own or have the right to use such content
• It does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights
• You grant Numaself a royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use such content solely for operating, maintaining, and improving the platform.

All therapeutic communications remain confidential, subject to legal obligations.

11. Confidentiality & Legal Disclosure

Confidentiality between users and professionals is maintained in accordance with professional and legal standards.

Confidentiality may be breached only when required by law, including but not limited to:

• Risk of harm to self or others
• Child abuse or sexual offences
• Court orders or statutory obligations

12. No Dual Relationships

Users agree not to pursue personal, social, or professional relationships with professionals outside the therapeutic context, including through social media or other platforms.

13. Third-Party Tools & Links

The platform may include links to or integrations with third-party tools or services. Numaself is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or policies.

Use of third-party services is at the user's own risk.

14. Account Termination

Users may stop using the platform at any time.

Numaself reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for misuse, breach of these Terms, or legal non-compliance.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Numaself from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of:

• Violation of these Terms
• Misuse of the platform or services
• Violation of applicable laws or third-party rights

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

19. Online Sessions & Technical Limitations

You acknowledge that:

• Online sessions may have inherent limitations due to technology
• Some non-verbal cues or details may be missed despite best efforts
• Stable internet, device compatibility, and power backup are your responsibility

If a session is disrupted due to platform-side technical issues, reasonable rescheduling will be offered.

If disruption occurs due to client-side issues, the session may be deemed completed.
